Speleothems
A speleothem is a structure formed in a cave by deposition of minerals from seeping water, such as stalactites and stalagmites. Made of aluminum, resins and polyurethanes, Sorensen uses these new materials to replicate the topographical surfaces she achieves in her clay work.
